This slicer is a chef's answer to a prayer. No peeling necessary. You simply cut an avocado in half, insert the blade of a knife into the pit, and twist to remove. Then slide the planer from the large end to the smaller end in one go. Now you have perfect avocado slices. Need pieces? Cut the slices in half while still in the skin, then place the slices in a bowl. I don't know how I managed without this device. Avocado consumption in this household has tripled.
