Worked great for what we needed

We have an Avermedia C027 capture card in our church computer and we needed to start live streaming like everyone else. We used the HDMI input for the camera and also wanted to show slides. The Tripp-Lite B126-004 has an HDMI monitor output, so I bought an HDMI to component adapter first. Well, it turns out this card uses component capture in conjunction with HDMI capture, so I had to use either S-Video or Composite. Fry only had one HDMI-to-Composite adapter, so we bought that one. It was good, but some of his slides looked terrible. tried to decide whether I should spend more money and buy another HDMI capture card or try S-Video. Since we are dependent on a small budget for a small church, it was possible to buy this adapter at the latest. Wow what a difference! It looks a lot cleaner, the colors are better and the text is sharper. Very happy with it. I bought this adapter because they had the foresight to fit a male instead of a male. The latter would require a male-to-male cable between them, which we don't need as the computer is likely 2ft from the junction box and the HDMI cable covers that distance. I think the shorter S-Video cable connection also helps with signal integrity. The only problem I had was that the small plastic dowel pin was too big for the socket on the capture card cable, but some needle nose pliers took care of that. . After it broke, it connected - everything is fine and we left. It only has a 4-pin S-Video connector, and our capture card is also 4-pin. First I connected all the video connections and then turned it on. Selected the S-Video input in the crossbar section of the OBS and the image popped up, it was that simple. I plugged it into a USB port on my computer to power it up and all looked fine, but ended up using the included 1A USB source just in case. If you're using it for the same, make sure your slides or whatever you're showing is in 16:9 format. You still get a little black border around the image, but not as bad as 4:3.
