This is a food grade organic citric acid that I use in the dishwasher every day to keep it clean and fresh. I add a little (maybe a teaspoon) or so on top of the dish soap. When I first got the product my dishwasher had all these horrible white spots from hard water. I filled an empty dishwasher with citric acid and ran the cycle. I did this two or three times and the stains were gone. Now I'm doing TL. every day for maintenance. I also have a water still that catches debris. After a while the container is covered with a crust and I grow up to 3 tsp. Dissolve citric acid in warm water and leave for several hours. I also use it in my kettle - I have an old Zojirushi that works great but like all those electric pots it has this white coating too. I use about a tablespoon diluted in warm water and leave it on again for a couple of hours.
