Lamps get very hot!
These lamps get very hot after a short time. If I left them for 2 hours, they were so hot they burned me. Obviously the costs have been kept down by a decently sized heatsink. I would not recommend using them anywhere they could ignite surrounding materials. Rather spend a little more for better lighting. It's still cheaper than fixing a burned-out house.
