I, for one, was sad to hear it go. I got it for my mom so she could watch movies and listen to music, podcasts, and audio books, and it does a great job with all of those things. It keeps its charge and signal and is simple to control. But, as a person who appreciates music and has some knowledge of acoustics, I found the volume to be disappointingly low. The music lacks depth and substance; it is too raw and synthetic for my taste. For instance, such a column is not a threat to JBL after their dominance in the market. If you're a music lover, I highly recommend shelling out the extra cash for a JBL Charge or, at the very least, a Flip. Because there are no other regular speakers at this price, especially not with 16 watts, I think this is the best alternative. Unfortunately, the watts from these devices are not felt to the same degree.
