Bought this for myself and it arrived today. It's super cute! :D It had an initial smell when I first turned it on. That awful teflon smell. They left pretty quickly, the first batch of cupcakes turned out amazing! Couldn't believe how fast it was. 10 mins! I'm not used to baking that fast! By the time the machine had preheated, I had finished kneading the dough and by the time I finished whipping the frosting, the cupcakes were ready! They were fairly easy to remove with a soft silicone spatula. done) I used muffin cases and they came out right away. Set them aside to cool while I reheat dinner, and by the time dinner is served they'll be cold enough to freeze. Dinner and dessert in 20 minutes. :D Bought another one for my daughter's birthday so she can bake cupcakes and muffins with my granddaughter. It's so nice to be able to create something in the kitchen without heating the whole house. And it actually baked them better than my regular oven, with no high or low spots. Very impressive! Funny car! :) *Edited to add: I found that you can freeze cake batter. There is no need to change the dough size or change the recipes. Just make your favorite box or homemade dough, make as much as you like, and freeze leftover dough in a gallon freezer bag! I've frozen mine for up to a week and they bake like they've just been blended. You can then let the dough thaw, cut off a corner and press directly into the ramekins. or scoop it up frozen. If using frozen batter, allow to bake for an additional 1-3 minutes (test with a toothpick). Plus, by making the batter ahead of time and freezing it, you can quickly bake a batch (or just 1) and have it ready in just minutes. Cupcakes without any utensils! How cool is that?! :D*7/10/14- Still using and loving this little cupcake maker. It has become my favorite kitchen toy! I also like to give these away as gifts. I love making banana bread muffins and zucchini muffins in this little machine. The cupcakes seem to turn out better without the liner, I just give them a quick spritz of cooking spray and let them bake for 13-15 minutes. Because of thicker dough, nuts and raisins, they have to cook a little longer. Muffins also freeze well. I like to put them in a large freezer bag and keep the rest in the freezer. Just 30 seconds in the microwave and you have a quick breakfast on the go. You can also add anything you like to them like dried fruit, oats, coconut and anything that sounds good. And it doesn't heat up the house like a regular stove, perfect for summer weather. :) *9/28/15 - This is a great little car, if mine ever breaks I won't think twice about replacing it! I like that cupcakes and muffins come out evenly. In my oven I had to flip the pans halfway through cooking and they still came out uneven with crispy edges. This cupcake maker cooks evenly and they all come out perfect. I tried cooking the brownies, they take too long, but it was possible. For cupcakes and full size cupcakes, this little machine couldn't be better!
