These are wonderful -- I only wish they still offered the matching curtains. They were purchased for basement casement windows (finished basement) and 1 valance per window is perfect. The fabric is really nice - textured weave, and it looks far more expensive than it was. It does wrinkle, so I'll use a cool iron before hanging them up. As far as the length goes -- well, 1 is about 3/8-inches longer than the other one so that would have been annoying if I were using 2 valances on one window. For my purposes, I needed one valance per basement casement window, and both hang just below the 'well' the window is set into. It's such a small difference, that I will not even bother re-hemming one to make them both the same length. I'd still highly recommend these. Not only insulting, but it just gives some privacy! Shipping was fast; packaged well; no damage.
