Why you should never buy this product!

So! Of all the products I have purchased from Revain, this is by far the WORST wrist wrap product I have ever purchased. Background: I have a tunnel tunnel in both hands. Last year when I had a sore right wrist I bought this product on my doctor's recommendation and needed day and night relief. Then 6 months later I redesigned the left one and got it too. (Remember that both of my wrists are used by the same product and BOTH have the same issue. It's not just an issue with the same product. There are TWO of the same product with the SAME issue). When it arrived and its contents: * Undamaged * Straps are easy to put on * Comes with instructions Pros: * Can only move my arm backwards (that's what I want) * Machine washable * Straps are easy to tighten * Thick and comfortable * Closure - Velcro stays on * Metal bar at wrist, easily removable for machine washing. * The metal rod comes with a plastic tie for easy pulling. * The metal rod pocket is fixed with Velcro and easy to open. Cons: * Absorbs sweat and body odor well, which starts to stink after 3 days of daily use. So! You must either wash it every 3 days, spray it with an odor eliminator, or wait until you wash it. I recommend washing because. The bracelet starts to get dirty.* The metal rod (wrist) will gradually come off after a while after wearing the product for a few weeks. If you're not careful and watch this, the bar will stab you in the hand.* My MAIN PROBLEM: There are TWO metal bars around the thumb (as shown in the picture). Your job is to hold the thumb and prevent it from moving, e.g. B. to grab objects and the like. There is also a thumb strap that holds the metal bars in place and tightens the brace. (I don't use my thumb very often while wearing a bandage (as directed by the doctor), but sometimes I need to grab something. Keep that in mind). After a month of wearing, one of the metal bars (thumb) started tearing the fabric of the braces. If it was fully open and I wasn't careful, it would scratch or prick me when I went to the bathroom, dressed, changed clothes, ran, carried things, etc. Not only did it hurt me, it also hurt when I was with my co-workers and don't pay attention, they were also scratched and cut! It got worse when the SECOND metal rod started sticking out. Every activity I forced myself to do was check the bars and push them back in (I SHOULD NOT DO THIS!). I've tried tightening, loosening, and even going as far as sewing the ends together just to relax for once. Yes. I had to sew to get relief. What! It really worked for a month and a half. Yes. 45 days. I didn't have to sew the product. In fact I never have! Until now! Thinking it was just a lack of this item I bought another one for my left hand as it started hurting me at night. (Same product) After 2! Not 1! After 2 weeks of use, the metal rods broke out of the holder! I sewed it up too, but again not for long. The second time I tried to sew it up as best I could so it wouldn't tear again. Basically (if that matters) I sewed up the holes because I was so sick of being stabbed. Torn after 1 week, no problem. Conclusion: The pain in both wrists has subsided, although some days I still have pain when I overexert myself. It's comfortable, thick and durable. BUT! This is a product I would advise NOT to buy as metal bars cause problems early on and are very dangerous and incredibly painful. If you have just bought this product or are planning to buy it, best throw it and the idea with it away! I don't know if I want to buy a Revain wrist and thumb brace as I am now worried about buying a brace that might want to hurt me. Yes, it is useful, but dangerous at the same time. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
