This is very similar to the floor sweepers that my grandparents had back in the 80s. They're great for picking up debris from tile flooring and very low pile carpet or floor rugs. I can't imagine using this on standard or shag carpeting. The push / pull operation works fairly well. It sometimes gets hung up when you're pulling it back in reverse. It manages to pickup nearly anything. It typically won't pull in things like coins or small pebbles, but it grabs everything else.Based on my experience (owning one of these before of the exact same design) the weakest points are the center roller that connects with the two large wheels and the handle where it attaches to the main bar across the device. The U-shaped plastic piece that holds onto the center roller will eventually snap (on one side or the other) and it won't rotate properly anymore. The handle is just from the weld eventually breaking. I've repaired the handle with JB Weld before, but couldn't come up with a fix for the roller. Just keep that in mind as far durability.
