We used this toilet ladder to convince my distant son of my use of a training potty which we had to dump down the toilet and clean. It worked like a charm. It's durable and my son can get on and off it by himself. We have this chair, have been using it for 4 months now, are happy with it and will continue to use it with our second child. We have an oval toilet seat that is a comfortable height and it works great. Just be sure to raise the toilet seat so the practice seat directs urine into the bowl. If we leave the adult seat down and put the sports seat on it, it will get between the seat and the bowl when urinating and drip out.
