Works like a charm for computer accessories and peripherals

I have a Lenovo T410 and no one seemed to know exactly what the port on the side of my computer was. I've heard over and over again that this is an HDMI port. This is clearly not true. But now that the mystery has been solved and the correct adapter purchased, life is good! As for the adapter itself, it works perfectly. The only thing I want to mention is that you definitely need to click the "button" to remove it from the port. If you do that, there doesn't seem to be a problem removing it. It removes the sharp, bouncing objects holding it in port so it can slide out freely. Others' comments on turning on the sound are correct - just go to the control panel and change the default to TV, not Computer. The picture is good and the sound is good and in general I'm a fan. The only downside I can think of watching TV on my TV from my computer is that I don't have a remote control! Wow, can you say spoiled?!?) In general, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Pros
  • HOST COMPATIBILITY: DisplayPort to HDMI adapter tested for compatibility with DP++ sources; The passive converter supports one DP++ source connection, including workstations, desktops (AMD/Nvidia graphics cards), laptops, SFFs and docking stations
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
