Review on Carbon Fiber Wallet for PL Holders by Michael Richardson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great minimalist wallet. Excellent price.

Better than I thought. I currently have 4 credit cards, 1 AAA card, 1 doctor's ID, driver's license, organ donor card, and a $50 emergency bill. 9/16" thick (just over 1/2"). I have about 5 bills folded in three in my money clip. Inserting the cards turned out to be easier than I thought - the elastic stretches slightly to open the wallet for inserting the cards, but is taut enough to keep everything secure. I use about 2 weeks. Several times I had to take out the card, the process was easy. I pulled out the cards with the cutout, and then I was able to unfold them far enough to take the one I needed, unfold it, and put the rest back in. I have my driver's license on one end of the stack and my primary credit card on the other. the end. I keep my Costco credit card under my primary card. Allows easy access. I've used the minimalist Nomadic wallet before and really liked it. minuses. The hard shell is durable and offers RFID protection, but I keep my phone in the same front pocket and I'm afraid the wallet will scratch the glass. I try to remember to keep the glass side of my phone away from my wallet. Although the wallet is light, it is heavier than my Nomadic. Which is good in a way because I can feel it in my pocket, but I also liked the weightlessness of the Nomadic wallet. The hard shell adds some thickness to the entire wallet. It's not too bad, but then again, if you compare it to my nomadic wallet, it adds about 3/16 of an inch in thickness. Good quality. The elasticity seems to last for a while. The screws seem secure - I know some have said they fell out over time. I'll keep an eye on them and tighten if necessary. I would say 10 cards (including license etc.) would be the maximum you would want to wager in this wallet. I like the money clip. It's easy to pay my bills. Some use a clip to attach it to a bag. You can probably remove it if you unscrew the other side of the wallet. For the price, this is a great minimalist wallet. I get compliments on him all the time. Ideal for carrying in the front pocket. Maybe I'll go back to my nomadic wallet for a while. I like that it's thinner, lighter and basically a wallet with an elastic band and doesn't scratch my phone. Nomadic doesn't have RFID protection like this hard case wallet. h There are advantages and disadvantages. For pure minimalism, check out the Nomadic wallet. But for a nice, secure, minimalist wallet, you'll love this hard shell wallet.
