Carbon Fiber Wallet for PL Holders Review

I've owned three minimalist wallets in the last ten years and this is by far my favourite. I had the signature fabric and stretch version of this wallet, and while it was very light, it only lasted about two years before it started falling apart. I then bought an unnamed metal version, and while it lasted twice as long, it was quite heavy in my pocket. This minimalist wallet is the best of both worlds. Bought this for my brother for Christmas, he prefers money clips to wallets because they are less bulky. His last one, which he got from Hot Topic, only lasted 6 months until all of the enemy skin fell off and fell apart. This one is much stronger and will likely last a lot longer. He's had them for 3 months now and no signs of wear. Definitely recommend if you prefer money/card clips to a wallet.

Better than I thought. I currently have 4 credit cards, 1 AAA card, 1 doctor's ID, driver's license, organ donor card, and a $50 emergency bill. 9/16" thick (just over 1/2"). I have about 5 bills folded in three in my money clip. I'm a little pack rat and carry around more cards and stuff with me than I should. That should help me unlearn myself. I immediately fell in love with the minimalist style. You just have to get used to it from a traditional bifold. I originally ordered another brand in a solid color scheme as my son influenced my choice and he was a twill color. Overall the fit and finish is good and the materials seem fairly acceptable, however I have had this wallet for 6 months now and 4 screws have fallen out and are missing. I'm by no means the type to be hard on my stuff. I slip it in my front pocket along with a small Swiss Army knife and that's it. I was sure a rubber strap would be the first one, but the screws that pop out pretty much suck to me. Great value wallet. I deducted a star because the carbon fiber is so slick that paper money attached under the clip feels slippery, although the money clip is fairly solid. I wouldn't trust him with my money. I'll try to tape this under the money clip (on top of the carbon fiber) so the paper items don't slide around as easily. It's nice to see a nicer, cheaper alternative to the insanely expensive, overrated products on the market.

I love this minimalist wallet. I love the carbon fiber look and the money clip that you can also attach to your belt. And my photos. I have seven credit cards, my insurance card, my driver's license and several business cards. It looks like I could slip a credit card or two in, but it's perfect as it is and the strips on the sides hold it all up and are very tight. Even if I shake it, none of the cards fall out.
