This is one of those things that works really well. However, if you don't use it very often, which we don't, it really hurts to re-read the instructions. If you think you'll use it often enough to remind yourself how to do it, then this is a must-read. Works great again, but since we only use it twice a year, too many problems. When we used it it told you what the temperature was unbeatable and beeped when it was at the temperature you set it to. A few years ago we had the same ones that we used to use for grilling, smoking, turkey, ribs, etc., but we just don't cook like that anymore. So very good for the people who do it.
