We recently set up 4 expensive Dell Alienware M17 laptops for a university course/deep learning lab. The prototype, which we had extensively tested a few weeks earlier, worked perfectly with Ubuntu and all deep learning packages running on the GPU. But the 4 machines shipped after that suddenly had a different Wi-Fi card that didn't work with Ubuntu until the next release. I quickly ordered 4 of these adapters and after a simple setup process I have Wi-Fi on all 4 of my computers just in time for class. I would like to reiterate an important point made by several previous reviewers. Once you have received your card, email it to the address on the package. Efficient and courteous support staff will quickly send you the latest installation instructions. Installation is very simple, just copy and paste a command line. Do not search the Internet for some random installation package of dubious origin - just write to the support team and you're done.
