Review on πŸ”² Plastics 2000 Lexan Polycarbonate Sheet by Lild Zimmerly

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Protected my $3500 lens from direct hits from prop guns while filming an independent horror film.

At first this plexiglass seemed very thin and at such a price I got a little tired of using it for its intended purpose: protecting an incredibly expensive lens from direct hits from fake guns made of very durable plastic. After the first take, the plexiglass actually detached from the camera (because our sound engineer didn't tape the film well to the matte box) and the actress hit it too hard, but surprisingly the plexiglass didn't shatter. There were several scratches. (plastic scratches) which were incredibly visible on the plexiglass but to my delight disappeared immediately with a lens tissue. There were many minor scratches but these were not visible to the naked eye and were not visible through the lens. This Plexiglas withstood seven more bullying shots and still survived to tell the story. I will definitely be buying more of these for future shoots.
