Great budget projector.

Okay, I'll start with a warning. This projector cost me $100 so can't expect the whole world for that price. This is a budget product. There are some things I would like to do better, but to do better it costs money, so the product will be more expensive. It has focus that you have to manually adjust, and the only way I've found to resize the image you see is to physically move the projector forward to make it smaller, and farther away to enlarge it. It's not bright enough for daytime, but when it got dark, not sunset but actually dark, the picture was bright enough to watch a movie. Even dark scenes could be distinguished in detail and everything was clearly visible. Since it's a projector you won't be sitting 2ft from the screen to see it, so about 10ft from the displayed image where I was sitting. I could flip the image in the projector settings since I was using it as a rear projection, so I kept it on my patio and watched the image from the lawn. I've used it outdoors, if you use it indoors it's fine as long as you move it the right distance from where you're projecting and also sufficiently darken where it's displayed. I used an extra chord for a portable Bluetooth speaker so I can't comment on the built-in speakers, and connected my NVIDIA shield to it for evenings watching a Netflix movie outside. Will it compete with 500-2k+ projectors? No, but for a budget option it did everything I wanted with a good picture. The image I pasted looks a bit washed out due to the iPhone night mode but it was a clear image and it was actually dark but this is the only image I saw as a movie at night.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Anything I can add?
