Review on Owfeel Smart Water Valve with WIFI & Bluetooth, Shutoff Control Compatible with Alexa, Google, and iOS/Android Application Program by Gerson Lagerquist

I bought this product to automatically turn off the top floor shower at 10pm every night. "Why do you ask. I have two teenage daughters who are constantly fighting over who is going to use it and when. often going to bed after 10pm. So the easy fix is to turn the damn thing off at 10pm and no one can use it. (You were instructed to take a shower during the day before bed.) Anyway, the shower line was 3/4" copper pipe with no lock. That's why I bought this unit. with 3/4" OD Sharkbite ball valve. I shut off the water supply, drained the system, cut the pipe with a pipe cutter, replaced the Shark Bite valve, and then installed the unit on top. Aside from the limited space to work, the installation went pretty smoothly. I can only assume that customers who have reviewed this product and stated that the device lacks the "force" (torque) to turn the valve are working with older valves. The instructions were terrible. Once I realized I needed to use an alternative hose clamp mount (included but not pictured) it was easy. So now I've installed an Alexa-enabled shower shut-off valve and set up a procedure to close it. Damn, the shower ends at 10pm. I plan to install one of these on the main faucet along with a network of leak detectors throughout the house to turn off the main faucet if water is detected.
