First of all , they are stainless- which is much better for the cats than plastic, and not even porous or breakable at all, like ceramic.The bowls are easy to wash and easy to remove and fit back into the raised holder. ( no additional parts to worry about - just a smooth hollow stainless bowl that is held in place by the raised ears on the bowl, fitting into indentations on the holder.) - ! Super design! And the plastic raised holder is thick and sturdy - feels like it will last forever. ( no nooks or cranny’s for water to get stuck in, when cleaning that base. )I was specifically looking for raised stainless bowls that had no extra parts to break or go wrong, and this was it!I love the smooth hollow design of the bowl that allows my cats to easily eat everything, without any food being left over by being pushed to the corners (my previous shallow stainless bowls had bottom & sides, and there was always leftover food that had been pushed into the corners of the bowls that was too difficult for them to finish).Seller answered my questions promptly and I would /will gladly purchase from this company again.I love these bowls for my 2 cats !
