We bought four of these blinds for our office and the concept is very good. Being able to go from filtering the light and seeing what's going on outside to closing the window in the evening is very handy. The only problem we have are the gaps on the sides as well as the bottom. There is a 1 inch gap on each side of the lampshade to accommodate the mechanism at the top, which we don't like and now we need to add decorative wooden slats on the side to close the gaps. Same with the length when switching between filter and closed, there is a gap at the bottom that cannot be closed. Great idea but don't close the window when it gets dark. This shade is not suitable for the bedroom unless used with curtains.
