Make not mistake.This works and works well. This transmits data and power perfectly in my use.I have found however that when using for the USB-C power port on my ultrabook, it snags in my bag going in and out. Also, if you, like me, use your USB-C devices in multiple locations all the time - having only one of these adapters is a pain. I'd need three or four to make a real impact in how I use my devices.Easy to clean out and would save your USB-C port from getting "lose" as I now have several that are just that - lose and easy to break data connection if slightly touched.This is a quality product with some obviously serious engineering and testing behind it. If you need this kind of device and want no compromise for data and power - this is a great choice.
