This TD2 Thunderbolt 3 does not offer the expected write performance. When writing to a single 850 Professional SSD (256MB), I got about 120MB/s. Using the same drive via a single USB 3.0 connection resulted in write speeds of >240MB/s. The test was conducted using a single 5GB ZIP file. Using the test software also showed that I couldn't get the write performance I expected. Read performance was closer to the mark. Using it with two 85O Pro in either hardware RAID 0 mode or Windows RAID mode did NOT improve write performance at all. I got help from Revain to get the correct support email and after a few emails back and forth to the sad realization that it is. The read speed is 760 MB/s, the maximum write speed is 456 MB/s. My old Highpoint setup using an interface card with 2 eSATA ports to connect to my own external dual eSATA docking station (not included) delivered 760MB read and write speeds.
