I love love love these spoons and fully agree with all the positive reviews about this product. (There was a 1 star review which I didn't understand because EVERYTHING leaves a carbon footprint, be it a metal spoon, a plastic spoon or a compostable spoon. Sometimes metal spoons just aren't practical for the occasion, and when I have to deciding between plastic and compostable, compostable wins.) Anyway, more about spoons. Soup weather last week so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to test these spoons out. The spoons sat in the stew soup for 45 minutes one night, then they were put in the dishwasher and the second night they were dunked in the broth-based soup. To my surprise, they didn't wilt at all! I don't have any splinters in my mouth and they still look new, so I know I'm not just buying a compostable product, I'm buying a quality product that will be used over and over again.
