You need to get creative to install a Zip Dee awning

Zip Dee awnings DO NOT have a longitudinal slot to accommodate T-sliders used in most shade sails: Zip-Dee expect you to drill holes and fit latches along the length of the awning roll to hold one of their awnings - this is probably the best idea if you have one of their awnings. I attached plastic clips evenly spaced around the edge of this lampshade, threaded strong cord through the center, and then tied the ends of the cord to the awning brackets. This allows me to slide the awning along the cord to accommodate different sun positions (our awning is a bit longer than this awning), but I'm not sure it's a good idea to pull that taut cord up the tent's arms too tight to let. . So far no problems. The fabric is a bit inflexible at first, but seems to loosen up a bit and is by no means opaque: we wanted to see through. If you want to completely block out the sunlight, try a different fabric.

Pros
  • Material: Made from vinyl coated polyester mesh, UV resistant and flame retardant
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
