Review on 🏮 Himalayan Glow HS1342 Lantern Basket Salt Lamp, 7-9 lbs, Amber Glow by Mike Cassidy

Let's start with the bad. When unpacked, the three balls at the bottom of the lamp were half stripped of paint due to rusting from improperly packaged salt. I had to clean them up and then paint them with black marker. Then the top of the lantern didn't fit the lamp properly. It took a lot of effort to push it down and then insert both sides of the hanger into the holes. Even then, the bracket wanted to jump out. I had to bend the shackle a little so both sides stay in the holes. Once this was done, the top of the canopy was not flush. As you can see I modified this lamp to a pendant lamp. I had to cut and splice an extra 5 foot power cord. I also bought 9 feet of black warp and weaved an electrical cord through it. After all the modifications I made while hanging from the ceiling I am satisfied. However, it was quite expensive for such a cheap and flawed product. The only reason I didn't return it is because it really is the only large salt lamp on Revane that can be hung.
