This item is for listening only and plugged directly into my handheld microphone. It's easy to route the cable to my ear. The piece was very comfortable in my ear and stayed in place with no issues. The unit worked great and was very loud and clear with the radio almost completely off. Unfortunately after about 3 months I had to gradually turn up the radio to hear something before I left completely. I bought a few of these thinking they might be a bad batch but it just seems like lifespan. The problem seems to be in the connection where the two wires meet and twist. Apart from the expected lifespan, the product worked perfectly with no problems.
