I am very technical, I write software and have been in the tech world for over 25 years. I spent the morning working on it and couldn't get it to work on my Macbook. I could have gone ahead with this and eventually got it working, but gave up for two reasons: 1). For Mac, you need to grant special permissions for screen recording whether the application is running or not. You read that right. This means you're giving a third-party company outside of the US a recording of your screen activity, and everything is dictated by their privacy rules set out there, and you have to jump through hoops with your Mac's system preferences to bypass the built-in security operating system before the screen could work. . Think about it. Why did you ever give something like this? You do not need to grant such permissions to connect to an external monitor. So why should you allow them? 2). It's held in place by magnets that aren't strong enough to support the weight of the monitor itself. They include a stand to support the bottom, but this requires your laptop to be on a hard, flat surface for it to work. Others seem to like the device, but for me it's the hard way.
