So-so quality, price doesn't match quality.

I had a positive experience with the ThinkVision P27u-10 and decided to take the same monitor home. Judging by the characteristics of both monitors, there should not be much difference between them, except for the difference in diagonals and the lack of USB Type-C in this instance. When I put the monitors next to each other and connected it to the laptop, the obvious difference in color reproduction immediately caught my eye - the colors of the S28u-10 turned out to be much more faded, the…

What are the upsides of using 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • Price, sleek design.
What negative qualities does 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor possess?
  • Explicit light on the display, very poor colors.

I didn³'t expect the quality to be this good.

In general, I liked the purchase. Eyes do not get tired for a long time. I connected a Thinkpad x270 via Ultra Dock (model 40a2.) with a Display Port cable - there is 4k60Hz, but the laptop via HDMI initially has 4k only at 30Hz (and from the dock via HDMI too), keep this in mind if you plan to connect Lenovo laptops (from a desktop and a 1650 card - everything is fine via HDMI - 60Hz in 4k). Taking into account the fact that all the problems were solved - there is nothing to even complain…

What are the favorable features of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • I liked the design, dimensions, backlight uniformity, brightness levels. Frames - norms, for the money, I think - just fine. Moire on the symbols did not notice. Launched Spyder4 today - calibrated (gamma has changed quite a lot), sRGB coverage 100%, AdobeRGB 81%. Everything corresponds to the declared characteristics.
What are the trade-offs of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • Initially a strange color setting, a lot of purple. There is no usb hub (I don’t know how anyone, but I’m used to such garbage on an old cheap monitor). The initial calibration is far from ideal, but the color gamut is large for this price category. Inconvenient cable entry.

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

A good budget 4K monitor that doesn't pretend to be a TV and doesn't include sound speakers and any other nonsense. The display itself is excellent, it is felt that the entire budget of the monitor went to him. The monitor was purchased for work and viewing content, and the impressions after the first days of use are purely positive. Plastic is ordinary, nothing special, a frail stand is easily replaced by a suspension on a normal VESA bracket

What positive qualities does 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor possess?
  • uniform illumination, good color reproduction, the minimum required configuration without unnecessary bells and whistles (which is why the price tag is adequate), a normal intuitive menu
What are the negative aspects of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • build quality is quite mediocre, flimsy stand, minimum configuration by ports (yes, this is both a plus and a minus)

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

I am engaged in photo and video, for this I bought. I took it blindly (one and a half reviews on the network and several reviews), examined it already at home. I replaced the seasoned, but solid HP ZR24w, on which the backlight lamps had already begun to "get tired" (the brightness barely reached 120 cd / m2). Finally I understood what the "absence of a crystalline effect" is and how it happens without it at all :) I found jambs on some of my works that I had simply not seen before. For…

What are the key selling points of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • Fully justified price. Close to perfect color reproduction from the factory. Checked with a Spyder 5 + DisplayCAL colorimeter. The curves barely changed. The brightness is more than enough (to achieve the desired 160 cd / m2 reduced to 56%). Uniform illumination. Pixels are not visible due to the high density. The picture is lively and honest.
What are the downsides to using 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • No obvious deficiencies have been identified so far. Only obvious quibbles. There is no stand, but I have been using mine from OmniMount for many years with all degrees of freedom. Because the VESA mount is slightly lower relative to the center, you need to keep in mind the final height (I had to due to the features of the mount). No USB hub. But given the cost, this is "not a bug, but a feature." An old separate hub solved the issue. Only two input ports, although DVI and VGA are not really needed for someone (it’s somehow strange to put this monitor on old hardware). DisplayPort cable purchased separately, because. not included. In general, everything is expected and without surprises.

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Two things that surprised me about this monitor: 1) The declared frame rate is 60 hertz, although the manual on the lenovo website says the following: "Supported display modes: frame rate 23 Hz - 76 Hz", which actually says that the monitor should also work with a frame refresh rate of 75 Hz, but this mode is not available. Now there is a feeling that the monitor is not fully used. As soon as I buy a display port, I will definitely try to set custom frame rate settings. 2) In the "nvidia…

What are the reasons to consider 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • *Good color reproduction *Good viewing angles *Very high margin of brightness (50% during the day, 20-30% at night) *4k picture looks great. I have a samsung Q80T 4K 4k TV that is almost 3x the price and to be honest it looks a lot better on this monitor. The colors are better balanced, I do not feel tired in the eyes + a slightly matte finish makes the picture less sharp, which is not on the TV and causes very great discomfort. *There is an option to enable freesync in the menu, which surprised me, since freesync was not declared in the product description. Now I'm waiting for the display port to try this technology.
What are the disadvantages of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • *The stand is nominal, it serves only to ensure that the display is in a horizontal plane. There is no height adjustment and even minimal tilt adjustment. Immediately after buying the monitor, I ordered VESA for the wall. *8 bits + frc matrix, not 10 as stated by the manufacturer *Included is hdmi, not display port

A good product, more pros than cons.

At a distance at which it is comfortable to look at the text in the interface, the windows in the corner turn out to be directly "in the corner" (meaning geometric distortions in lateral vision). I could not get the monitor to work in 4K@60Hz mode, but 30 is enough for comfortable work with the code. To watch movies at this resolution, hardware decoding becomes mandatory.

What are the upsides of using 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • Resolution and color rendering VESA mount for bracket
What are the negative aspects of 🖥️ Lenovo 28-IN S28U-10 C19280DS0 HDMI Monitor?
  • Never started in 4K@60 mode in conjunction with Lenovo X1 carbon + USB-C Dock
