Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cool, except for a

To be honest, it's more like 4.5 stars. Basically, it would have gotten 5 stars if there wasn't one thing that really bothers me. Every time I print a label, a blank label about 1/2 inch long flies out for no apparent reason. I tried disabling it but the only link I could find was that there was no way to prevent it. This is a big waste of money and time (because if you type a lot, you have to analyze spaces). That's really the only downside. Everything else is pretty good. The device is big, but it's still definitely portable and wearable. The battery life is pretty impressive and there are a lot of options when it comes to what you can add to the label (warning signs, etc.). Your keyboard is easy to use. The interface is pretty good and I like that there are special buttons so you don't have to spend all day navigating to find a character hidden in different categories. The most important part for me was the software, which I have to say is pretty impressive. I usually just plug the device into my laptop via a USB port and do everything with the software. It worked without any problems on my Windows 7 and Windows 8 desktop/laptop. It was the definition of plug and play. I have to say more about the software, because that is the highlight of the device. I used it to print about 30 CAT5 cable labels. The software actually has a special template for identifying different cables. As a result, I didn't have to realign the text or align each line of text.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
