This gate has good and bad qualities. Advantages: The gate part is well made and looks very nice. It's high enough that my Boston Terrier couldn't jump over it. The price is very reasonable in my opinion. It's not really bulky and heavy. Easy width adjustment. CONS: It comes with cheap plastic legs that you screw together and then screw into the "ends" of the gate. There is an edge that sticks out about 3 inches and needs to rest against the wall to keep the dog from "pushing" the gate. Well, that won't happen if you have shoe lasts on the floor. a gap of about 2 inches or more to allow the dog to poke its nose in and push the gate away from the wall. very easy! I think the legs would work better if they were placed further on the gate so the gate could be leaned against the wall and you could block it with something heavy. There are legs that can be purchased separately. I didn't see if they would come to that gate. If so, this would be the configuration I would go with.
