This baby gate is very sturdy. I'm on the top floor of my apartment and this keeps both my 8 month old and 4 year old unable to leave the living area to get access to the stairs. I love it’s design and bright white color. It’s really sturdy and won’t budge once installed. Does it’s job to keep baby in. Just the baby though.Only bad thing is that it’s really noisy compared to my other gate and it’s hard to open. We’ve had this gate a little over a year. I’ve and over I’ve had to tighten it more and more. What I didn’t realize was that it was basically falling apart inside. We have two very small dogs that never push on the gate. It’s gotten very little use actually. As of now the whole gate assembly wobbles when touched. It’s disappointing to have something last a year. Not a great product.

This is a very sturdy baby gate we installed at the top of a staircase to protect our year-old granddaughter who was visiting for Christmas. The gate latch was very easy to open so adults to pass through, but very effective at keeping the baby out. We used the pressure mounting (and it's very secure), but it also came with hardware to fix it to the walls. And the black finish was very attractive in our home.

I picked these up to use in my house for my new GC puppy. It worked okay for a few days, until she realized she could burst through the gates, and jump over them.They were easy to install, but the gates do not lock well unless you set it up perfectly which was a tad difficult.

We purchased a less expensive, popular branded gate for our wide doorway, but were displeased with the quality. This one feels much more secure and stable for our toddler. The finish was a little flawed in a spot, but it didn’t bother us enough to return.

There is a botton on the top you are supposed to slide over to open. That button is useless we just lift the gate to open it. Isnt the strongest if a grown human were to walk into it to fast im 95%sure it would break. Works for what we need though.

Got three of these to limit places my lab pups can go. Work perfectly, very solid, inside and outside use. Each size has a range of widths they will accommodate. Would work as well for a child, no doubt. First one took 45 minutes to install, others less time. Only tool needed is a drill with screwdriver bit (or a drill bit and manual Phillips screwdriver).

Easy to install. I’m using tension only since I’m leasing my townhouse. It is super easy to open and close. My 35lbs puppy has been leaning ALL over it and it hasn’t budged. Worth every penny!

When first installing these gates, it was quite difficult to do. The threaded stems attached to circular plates to go into each of the fours corners were quite difficult. Especially when you don't want to mount (with holes) into your door ways.I realized that the problem is when tightening these treaded stems at each corner which has tight holes but without threads. What I recommend is to buy additonal M10-1.5 hex nuts (qty=4) so that each steam has two nuts. Tighten one nut against the cirular

No matter hot tightly we adjust these gates, they seem to loosen up and dislodge from the padding between the wall and the gate. Has come loose many times, and always crooked on the padding. I believe the screw part of the gate to the wall loosens up and causes the issue.

Of my 3 gates, this is my favorite. It has the widest walk through area, was super easy to install, stays in place, and has a sturdy, yet easy to use release. It will close automatically, but can stay open if left at a 90°angle. I will be purchasing another to replace one that didn't meet any of the above criteria!

Got this to contain a new puppy. So far we are loving it! It was easy for my daughter-in-law to install. We didn't do the permanent installation but if it needs a more permanent install we have the included hardware. So far very impressed with this baby/puppy gate!
