I read the reviews that said this dress ran big, so I got a size down and it fit slouchy - like the photo.It's not cotton and not knit, it's definitely a polyester synthetic stretchy swimsuit type material.I like it a lot and my boyfriend said it looked really good on me:) I wish the pockets laid a bit more flat, but the dress looks good with pockets and good overall.
