Review on ๐Ÿ–จ Optimized Brady BMP41 Label Printer by Lynn Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good, robust label printer. Basic interface. Could be better with available PC software.

Good label printer. Was a little larger than I expected but not bulky although a little difficult to hold for long periods of time. It is better to use it on a surface like a table. I'm disappointed that PC software is so expensive that it's out of reach for non-profit organizations (just ordinary people for home use). The only other way to use it is through the device itself, which is pretty basic and slow in designing labels. I was hoping that PC software would be affordable and have more options (PC software probably allows for more fonts and better and faster layout options). It would be nice if there was a simplified version of the software that was cheaper. (All photos showing CDs with this starter kit only show USB printer drivers and user manuals. PC label printing software - LabelMark - is NOT included.) The beauty of this is that there is a dizzying array of labels available for this printer. All sizes and media. There isn't much waste, although I did notice that there is a small crease in the label at the beginning of each label about 5/8 inch or so from the beginning of the label. You may be able to ignore this. However, if you want a nice, cleanly printed label, for at least that amount, you can start at the beginning of the ribbon and print several labels in a row and trim with scissors when you're done.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Weak set
