The problem is similar to the Galaxy S20: the mounting plate covers the fingerprint reader, and due to the size of the phone, the placement of the fingerprint reader and the size of the device, there is literally only one place to install the leather-covered mounting plate. This incompatibility is not explicitly listed on the product page, but it is also not listed as compatible. If you're on a Pixel 5, look elsewhere. Other magnetic mount chargers require less real estate for their metal plates, which doesn't mean that wireless and magnetic devices are out of the question. I just foolishly thought that this mount with magnets above and below the charging coils would be my best bet. Unfortunately, this mount requires good simultaneous contact with the magnets on BOTH sides of the charging coils to hold the phone securely enough to move with.
