works and is strong save your back and get or build a crane

I have read the instructions and you need to pull the cable and wrap it tightly starting with 5 turns on the spool. I used a 6 ga wire from a 14.6 volt idle battery 16 feet to the faucet and a 6 ga wire to the frame with an additional wire to the frame from the battery. The OE pickup wiring isn't good enough for something like this. I didn't read the amp, sorry :( I pulled the cable by attaching the winch to the tree and letting the crane pull the climb up the tree with the brakes on and it pulled very hard but spooled during free winding it still wears off easily I used it for no less than 3 consecutive hours lifting and dropping weights I bought a NATIONAL soft rope folding block and it worked, but I cut off the sharpening side which I got at Runnings Farm Store had found a high quality super winch brand claw block 2pm will use it from now on.During the winch when the cable is spooling the gear ratio will be higher making it more difficult to pull. This is my first winch and I should have bought it a year ago should have, my back would have been better, that's the only reason I bought this in the first place because I know some big strong guys who do a lot have worked hard and also had at least one back surgery. If you're thinking about moving heavy things and whatever the effort is going to take too long, consider lifting 10 pounds or less for 6 months while using the vertebrae cure three surgeries. Just think, isn't a $100 winch and a truck-mounted crane too much? Another thing to consider if you don't have the gear is a winch rig, some choker chains, suspenders, braces or D-rings. I had steel and built a crane and bought a beam that was 60 inches long with a 4 ton jack less than 12 inches from the axle and I lifted at least 450 pounds with no problems and I had a weird one Angular pull / pull (destructive). block) that worked fine from 1/2 gear to full gear and the engine speed dropped by maybe 10%? I have a tool bag that I keep it in. Raised mower, snow thrower, big block engines (425 455 OLDS) and trees. I will buy it again if it fails and I can't fix it. If the controller fails, an instantaneous dpdt toggle switch with oven thermostat cable replaces it for an inexpensive and very durable repair.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • So So
