Judging by the description, this is a short cradle. The mattress topper is thinner in the middle and retains the curve. Also, the clasps are incredibly difficult to attach, which you'll have to fiddle with if you ever want to raise the canopy without the mesh, as the canopy won't snap into place. I guess they silenced it, but cussing while trying to get the buttons to work doesn't help. Oh, and it came with zero care instructions, so be prepared. On the plus side, the fabric is of good quality and can be washed. The mesh is nice and breathable. The frame itself is pretty solid. It has a nice hand swing function that can be folded to the side. The tranquility of the canopy can be beautiful if you also use mesh. It folds up fairly easily, but I'd rather take the mattress topper off. So the child sleeps on a smooth, flat surface. The board that goes underneath is solid too. Overall this is a decent bassinet, I think it costs almost $120. Uh, depends on what's important to you, but overall I wouldn't do it.
