I waited a week after ordering the tree to write this review. First I bought a Halloween tree and it is absolutely adorable. Arrived well packaged, looks like the photo. but the light on the tree is very, very dim. I waited to write a review because I was curious how well 3 AA batteries would light up the tree (I left the tree on the programmed timer setting); and just as I thought, by the end of the week the light on the tree was so dim that it was impossible to tell if the tree was burning. I saw in the product notes that this seems to be the first year they've run the tree on a battery and I sincerely wish the tree had a plug or at least the ability to either/or do because of it not enough batteries gives nutrition. Wood. I still love it so I don't necessarily regret buying it, but if you really want the tree to actually look lit you'll either have to change the batteries very often or get creative. I personally spent an extra $5 and put some garlands through 2 holes in the bottom of the tree and it made a world of difference.
