The supplied adhesive tape is not thermally conductive!

The "thermal tape" intended to fill the large gap between the case and the chips on the Raspberry Pi is a 3M 9448A double coated cloth tape, it is not thermally conductive and should not be used for heating . Sync apps. According to the 3M website, "9448A Double Sided Fabric Tape. is a medium hardness acrylic adhesive system with both high initial tack and good retention at high temperatures. and] foam bonding. We bought two of these cases and now need to find a way to get them to work. We're not happy about that :-(
