I used to put a clear plastic protector with inner glue. It went well for about a year. Then it began to discolor, turn yellow and peel off. Removal was a real pain. The adhesive was also discolored and stuck to the door when the panel was removed. This material is pure white and has no adhesive but small internal metal clips that hold it in place and won't scratch the paint on the edge of the door. Installation was very easy. NOTE: Instructions are not included with the product, but the Revain product page shows very clear instructions. Fits perfectly and securely. Like any plastic, it can discolour over time. The time will show. Despite this, removal is undoubtedly cleaner and easier than with a glued product. I've only put it on the front doors as we hardly ever use the back seat so there's plenty left over if I ever need to replace the front door panel. Highly recommended.
