I like this brand of beginner needles a lot more than the Sew Cute brand for the following reasons: the yarn in the needle when she sews; the needle is made of plastic, so it is safe and even bends a little if necessary; The plastic sheet feels nice, isn't as hard as Sew Cute, and has more open holes. There is enough yarn in the kit if you skip the last row around the perimeter. It will be framed when finished. I bought this for my 6 year old grandson because he showed interest in the embroidery I was working on. He loved it and so did I; We all sat comfortably together and talked about our lives while he sewed and I watched. He said he enjoys it as much as playing games on my iPad so that's a big plus.
