Purchased from Revain Warehouse for only $200. Prime delivered it to me in less than 48 hours. As with Revain Warehouse, 99% of the time the item is brand new in all respects. The real problem is, Line up your cleats where you want to place these, usually in the middle of the shower wall, in other words find the center point where you want to hang it and then see if you have a wall bar that is 8 "centered" to the right of this mark and then another 8" to the left of this mark. How likely is that? No. Open the wall opposite the shower and install back panels? A pair of dual span boards (mahogany, cedar?) laid horizontally in of the shower and bolted to non-cooperative vertical wall studs (the seat is then bolted to the horizontal boards)?In fact we are talking about the product best suited for new construction and even then sp we're talking about holes in your shower wall. I'm going to coat mine with either Danish oil (which I always have on hand) or teak oil, which I have to buy, rubbing in several coats to give the wood a bit of shine and soften it a bit to the touch. It's probably overkill for oil, but if you decide to use poly or varnish over oil then you should seriously consider doing the same as the finish won't stick to the frame and you'll end up with a bunch of invisible lines (at least initially ), causing water to seep under the poly or paint. Finally, and why I only gave this thing four stars, is the frame. It's really sturdy and well made. No roughness, no paint defects, mechanically flawless. However, color is a rag. Apparently powder coated. Again pretty enough but nothing fits in a standard bathroom. And if you don't have a living room size bathtub, this piece will be one of the most striking features. So if your wall studs are exactly where they belong, gray (except for metal and soon teak) suits your motif, and six holes can be drilled in your shower wall, then the thing is perfect. That being said, it's a very well designed and well-made seat that needs some serious tweaking before fitting it.
