I'm a big owl lover and bought these despite the bad reviews. When I finally received the goods, I was a bit disappointed. Yes, the owl is very cute and I was lucky enough to get the blue one (which I wanted), although it wasn't until after I ordered that I realized the color you get is random. When I got my hands on it, it was the cheapest plastic (thin and brittle) I've ever touched. Okay, ignore it while it works. When I set it to 5 minutes it didn't ring at all, when it hit 0 the ticking only slowly stopped. But if I set it to more than 5 minutes it makes a soft ringing sound around the 1 minute mark and then goes back to ticking until it stops at the 0 mark. Without a doubt it is very sweet. It gets the job done, but it's not the best kitchen timer.
