This is a gift for Christmas. The covers and book were placed in a box with no packing material and it appears the book may have been damaged in transit through the holds. The grips are unaffected and virtually indestructible as they are made of solid urethane. Have contacted the seller, the seller is very responsive and responsive. Excellent customer service. Would have given 5 runs if it had been better packaged and arrived undamaged. The surface of the grips is very similar to the good grips in a climbing wall. The texture is good and the variety is enough to get the exercises done and not just hang around. Installation was a little tricky as all the holes had different installation depths and required different length screws. (I attached this to the plywood with t-nuts first, then attached the plywood to the wall.) 5 stars for the texture, variety of mounts, and the book. (Overall very satisfied) 1 star deducted because it was damaged in transit and required different length screws to assemble.
