better under than on top

This came in such a small box. It was really wrapped up. But once you release it, it will expand. At first because it was the easiest, we just threw it on top of the bed. Well, the weight difference between me and hubs is quite a bit so what happened was it just slid off the bed. Your sheets will most likely fit only the mattress wedge if it is on top. We have a medical wedge pillow for hubs who has central sleep apnea and some other issues so being on an incline is needed. Well sometimes he would slump off his wedge pillow and be really slumped. So, I thought inclining the whole mattress would be better. Once we got it under our mattress it has been so so much better. Since it is memory foam, it will respond to weight and heat to determine how soft it is. While it was on top of our bed, I thought it was a rock and hubs thought it was a marshmallow. Once we put it under our mattress it was so much better. I am not a huge fan of sleeping on an incline. I find that I end up near the foot of the bed every morning. But hubs is sleeping so much better. Seriously, so much better. That is worth me doing a little sliding. One thing to note. I find that I can't sit up in bed. Since it is an incline, I can't sit at the usual 90 degrees. You know leaning against the wall or headboard sitting up to read or watch tv. You can't do that with the incline. It is a small issue but if you spend a lot of time in this position it may not be for you. Otherwise, if you are looking into this it is a good investment.

Pros
  • Mattress Pads & Toppers
Cons
  • The foam material may have a shorter lifespan than traditional mattresses
