I'm allergic to fragrances and use unscented detergent. I also use the shared laundry and everyone else seems to like detergents with a very strong smell. Washing machines and dryers have a constant smell of detergent, which seeps into my clothes and lingers there for up to a week. My old way of dealing with this was to run each boot twice, first with detergent, then with a cup of vinegar, which didn't always work. EnviroKlenz is the perfect solution to my washing machine problem. I have to use a large amount: typically 4 ounces for a top-load washing machine, or more for a particularly smelly type of detergent. But it really brings out the flavor. Leaves a very slight chemical odor which will dissipate quickly. Just in case, I run an extra rinse that even gets rid of that smell. On the other hand, this product is very similar to white latex paint and leaves marks on my measuring cup even after I rinse it thoroughly with hot water. Two washes does a great job of getting rid of laundry, but if you plan on using it on a hard surface, that could be a problem.
