So far so good for a "cheap " external SSD
I bought this specifically to make a "cheap" 1TB external SSD for moving video files. I installed a Crucial MX500 1TB here and got around 375MB/s between my old Dell 7440 laptop and the Samsung 850 Pro. Very happy so far, it's significantly faster than the 2.5" spinners I've used before. I have a number of SSK PC products and have not had any problems with them so far. Toaster docks, 2.5 inch cases, M2 cases, etc. So far so good.
