I have a small head, and without hair, a snug fit is important. With only one "belt loop", the scarf does not stay on very well, but the hat looks fine without it. I can just wear the scarf around my neck. I have ordered several of these hats in many colors because they are dressy and I feel comfortable wearing them to church.
