I wouldn't recommend driving it on the interstate.
Going to a place that requires a cover on my truck bed, this works for this but I wouldn't recommend driving it on the freeway and I don't think so it would be super waterproof. Also, they only glue the metal clip and the budgie together, so they fall apart very easily when attaching the lid and cause pain. Just tie a knot at the end.
