Review on 🌞 Valterra Go Power! GP-PWM-30-UL Solar Controller – 30A, Digital, Black by Ryan Huhn

This GP-PWM-30-UL replaces my old GP-PWM30 controller. The description of this new device at the time of writing states that it is a "Blue Tooth". It's not like this. A Blue Tooth enabled controller is available elsewhere for a much higher price and with a different part number. I didn't want Blue Tooth so that was good for me. The new model has some nice features, a backlit screen, a USB port, two battery ports and an inverter interface. The control buttons have a soft feel and are much more intuitive than before. I had to enlarge the mounting hole by 1/4" for the new controller. Be sure to mark the wiring before removing the original controller, the order of attachment is slightly different on this new unit. The battery connectors are on the top and the solar cable connectors are next in line. The original was different. This controller also has connectors for a second battery. Also, be sure to separate your batteries and either unplug or cover the solar panels before working on the system to avoid short circuits to avoid.
