There are many good charge controllers on the market. I was about to buy another one when the unique feature of this one caught my attention. This controller can charge two different battery packs. You connect your house batteries to the battery 1 terminals and the engine battery to the battery 2 terminals. Once the main battery or batteries are charged, the controller will charge your engine batteries. If you leave your van parked for long periods of time, GoPower will keep the engine batteryβ¦
This GP-PWM-30-UL replaces my old GP-PWM30 controller. The description of this new device at the time of writing states that it is a "Blue Tooth". It's not like this. A Blue Tooth enabled controller is available elsewhere for a much higher price and with a different part number. I didn't want Blue Tooth so that was good for me. The new model has some nice features, a backlit screen, a USB port, two battery ports and an inverter interface. The control buttons have a soft feel and are much moreβ¦
Great product. Looks good, works good, sure. First I found that the battery voltage is lower than the true battery voltage. I read the manual and it said to measure and compare the voltage across the terminals and the battery and some nonsense about how sometimes it looks wrong but in fact it is correct. I also found that it was correct when there was no charging current, but incorrect when 27A was flowing. In the end I found that I had too much work to do installing it. I ran short, thickβ¦
To upgrade the existing solar system in my 10 year old AS trailer I bought this GP PWM 30 solar controller to replace my old Go Power controller with technology compatible with the conversion It is based on AGM batteries and a new combined inverter/charger 55A Progressive Dynamics (PD4655V) unit with an integrated 4-stage charging converter. The main advantage is the 4-stage charging system, in addition it has a "recharging phase" to "top up" the batteries. It also displays the batteryβ¦
